More than half Dutchies aware of online identity

Interesting research by Dutch research agency Ruigrok | Netpanel among online Dutch people about their online identity. Of this group, 51% says they are aware of the fact that they have an online identity. That means the rest isn’t to the same degree. I’ll definitely expect that group to become smaller in the near future.

Of the group who is aware of their online identity people will start looking for tools to get some degree of control over it. We think we can offer them an easy and user-friendly option.

More interesting statistics (Dutch only):

  • 27% Googles’ themselves now and then;
  • 27% Googles’ their friends;
  • and 25% Googles’ their family members with any regularity.

Are you satisfied with what people see when people enter your name in a search engine?
